![]() We are continually updating the encoding engine based on new hardware available from windows and mac devices. I do know we are updating our agent engine in a month with some further optimization on performance so I do welcome you to give Splashtop another try in a month. I'll check to see if more we can do to help. On Windows, the performance is well optimized due to hardware vendors tend to support WIndows drivers better than MAC drivers. we actually use NVIDIA/Intel/AMD hardware APIs to capture graphics framebuffer at lower level for lower latency and leverage hardware for acceleration when needed for faster frame rate. It's possible that there is a setting that we need to turn on. I assume you have NVIDIA graphics card inside the MAC? we have done some NVIDIA GPU tuning for higher 3D graphics performance support. Please note: Jump Desktop 4.0.3 and above is compatible with Mac's Screen Sharing feature and you no longer require the VNC Server t. sorry to hear it's not smooth enough for your high performance work. This article describes how to enable Mac's built-in VNC Server. I haven't seen a Mac remote access solution that works anywhere near as well as RDC on Windows. It's better than typical vanilla VNC due to what I assume is some well thought out config settings, but VNC nonetheless. It still feels like VNC under the covers when you access a Mac. Note I'm really enjoying Splashtop, and encourage him to take that free trial, but trying to do graphics work over it, nope. it's probably not going to make him happy. As I've started using Splashtop, including with an (old) Mac, I'd say.
